Design Description

Inspired by steampunk fashion and the impact of industrial pollution, ‘A Steampunk Desire’ blends vintage machinery with environmental awareness. The structured, rust-coloured bodice is covered in cogs, nuts and bolts, symbolising factories and machines. In contrast, a long, ruffled train made from tea-stained shirts, plastic, and paper represents the smoke and fossil fuels polluting our air. This design tells the story of global warming and humanity’s role in climate change, with every detail reflecting a desire for a cleaner future.
