Design Description

Inspired by Mother Earth, ‘A World of Color’ transforms from a vibrant yellow flower into an earthy tree, symbolising renewal and conservation. With colour inspiration from Alice in Wonderland, this design weaves storytelling of nature into every detail. Hand-dyed with turmeric and coffee, the fabric is shaped using crocheting, layering, pleating and draping, adding depth and movement. Paper mache was used to create a bark-like corset, along with hand-sewn details. The design reflects a journey across landscapes—from the UAE’s deserts to Canada’s forests.
