Design Description

Inspired by Celtic knitting traditions from the Aran Islands, ‘Alpacalypse’ celebrates heritage and skill. The hand-knitted top, decorated with recycled pearls and jewels, pairs with laser-cut synthetic leather bell sleeves and a Victorian-style neckline. The skirt, made from 5kg of organic alpaca wool with twine and leather details that recall local roads and homes, is matched with wool-wrapped shoes and a headpiece crafted from repurposed chicken wire and felted balls. ‘Alpacalypse’ champions responsible consumption and a circular economy.
