Design Description

To make our dress we used left over waste tissue paper from local factories and shops. Our dress focused on the theme Deforestation, and how our careless use of our natural resources are causing huge damage to our world. More than 8 bird species have become extinct in the last decade. It was while researching this that the design of flowers and feathers came up. We created a shoulder piece based on feathers. These are made from tissue and old electrical wire and remind us of wings. The bodice and skirt are made of a cascade of blue and white rose flowers. The dress feels quite regal.
