Design Description

Inspired by the impact of everyday consumption, ‘Cards Dress’ turns discarded playing cards into a statement on waste and overproduction. In 2018, over 20 million decks were sold in France, generating €342 million, yet most are quickly lost or thrown away. This design gives them a second life, with carefully stitched cards forming a structured skirt and hand-sewn details on the bodice.
