Design Description

Inspired by Uganda, ‘Natural Allure’ celebrates sustainable fashion using 100% handmade, biodegradable barkcloth from the Mutuba tree. The bark is soaked and thinned by hand to reduce our need for synthetics. Influenced by Robert Wun, the design features a bold, ruffled cape of barkcloth paired with a base dress from an old voile curtain, adorned with 2,500 hand-quilled paper beads and reinforced with scrap chicken wire. This look fuses African heritage with modern craft, paving the way for a greener future.
