Design Description

Inspired by the green turtles and the UAE’s coastal heritage, ‘Oceanic Opulence’ merges Victorian elegance with sustainability. This handcrafted design uses sewing, layering, weaving, and mosaic work to highlight ocean conservation. Made from 2m of bubble wrap, 4m of silver packaging, and over 400 pieces of plastic cutlery, the flowing skirt and layered train symbolise the fragility of marine ecosystems. Weighing 2kg, Oceanic Opulence transforms waste into couture, urging action to protect our oceans and endangered species.
