Pleasures of the World
St. Mary's Catholic College Naas, Co. Kildare
Our piece is centered around nature. We took inspiration from places like the Japanese gardens, Ardgillian Castle, and Burton House’s gardens. We wanted to create floral pieces to emulate the feeling of peace and tranquillity you get from being completely separate from the world, with only smears of color and insects for company. We took inspiration from Alexander McQueens’ Spring 2007 and Christian LaCroixs’ Spring 2007. The Outfit tells the story of a maid who wanders the castle gardens, dreaming of a fantastic world beyond the confines of her grounds.
