Design Description

Inspired by war and its impact, ‘Queen of Kings’ embodies strength and loss. The queen, the most powerful chess piece, symbolises gender equality, while black and white squares represent divided nations. A blood-stained train honours fallen soldiers and civilians, while a heart emerging from the chest with shattered glass reflects the deep grief of those left behind. Crafted from silage wrap, fertiliser bags, and old clothing, this design, sewn and structured with wire, forms a bold, commanding silhouette—symbolising lives broken by war.
