Design Description

The main concept for this design was based around the issue of plastic pollution, destruction of marine life and marine entanglement. Plastic plays such a significant part in ocean waste that it is important awareness is spread around the impact it has. The dress utilises many ocean-bound materials such as plastic bottles, plastic fishnets and rope and shows how when diverting these materials from the ocean, they can be used for another purpose.

Made from bottle caps, tin cans, recycled pieces of tulle, chicken wire, tin foil, plastic fishnets, recycled rope, wine caps, plastic bottles, plastic
wrappers and cotton
