JUNK KOUTURE AND DHL EXPRESS IRELAND ANNOUNCE NEW PARTNERSHIP FOR 2023

  • DHL Express will be the Official Logistics Partner of Junk Kouture in Ireland for 2023
  • Junk Kouture challenges young people to design, upcycle and create high end Kouture from recycled Junk

Dublin, February 24th, 2023:

DHL, the world’s leading provider of international express shipping services is delighted to announce its newest local Irish partnership with the world’s largest sustainable fashion competition for young people, Junk Kouture. The partnership will aim to raise awareness of sustainability issues while providing support for the young participants in line with DHL’s Go Green and Go Teach programmes.

Back to the Future – Joshua Osabuehien and Solomon Eduard the current reigning World Designer of the Year with their creation Back to the Future constructed from an incredible mix of wire tubing, foam packaging, and scrap sheets of aluminium from a builder’s yard, an old shin guard, cable ties and fish wire.

 

Ex-Static – Zuzanna Cieslewicz and Cara Weber from Old Bawn Community School, Dublin created Ex-Static out of plastic trash bags, grocery store fruit bags, old insulation foam, cardboard, old tape, and string.
