Design Description

The inspiration came from a casual dialogue with a passer-by: in the city there are old and neglected neighbourhood’s where the only thing abundant is garbage – which reveals a widespread lack of sensitivity towards waste. It, with imagination, can be transformed into a resource and with recycled materials you can create a dress that has a strong symbolic value, alluding to the need for recycling. The night skyline applied on the train alludes to the frenetic city animation even at night, pollution and the incessant use of electricity.

MATERIALS USED

Made from washed, treated and sterilised surgical masks, scraps of tulle, discarded clothing accessories, fabric scraps, discarded industrial products, old umbrellas and plastic bottles.
