Design Description
‘True Beauty Is Timeless’ -Marilyn Monroe. This quote inspired our Junk Kouture as we wanted to express a message of timeless fashion. Elegance is looking as beautiful on the outside as you are on the inside. We wanted to portray this message by interpreting the cogs and gears used in our design as the cogs and gears that keep the machine of the human body working and inner beauty. The cogs and gears bursting through the forehead of our model represent her inner beauty and working mind while the cogs and gears she wears represent this inner beauty becoming outer beauty. We used the materials of cogs gears and old clocks as we wanted to take the term ‘Timeless Fashion’ to a literal form.
