Junk Kouture is pleased to announce a new addition to the Dublin City final judging panel, as one of Ireland’s best upcoming musicians – Soulé – joins for 2022.
No stranger to the stage herself as one of Ireland’s freshest young voices at the forefront of the new wave of Irish pop, Soulé has landed #1’s on both the Irish Radio and Most Shazamed Charts, 10 million Spotify streams, is a three time nominee for the Choice Awards Song of the Year as well as having performed at some of the country’s leading festivals from Electric Picnic to Other Voices.
As well as judging, Soulé will also perform on the night of the final. She will join best-selling cookbook author, entrepreneur and fashion-upcycling enthusiast Roz Purcell, fashion designer Stephen McLaughlin and the esteemed Louis Walsh as they search for the top 10 designs. There is also a new role for long-standing Junk Kouture judges Tracy Fahey, and Programme Director for Fashion Design at Griffith College Jane Leavey, as they return as technical judges across all territories.
It’s been an amazing year of designs for the Dublin City final, with finalists announced last night on the Junk Kouture YouTube channel. Each of the 50 finalists will take to the stage of the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, as Junk Kouture gets back to live shows for the first time since 2020.
The Junk Kouture Dublin City Final takes place in Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on 5 May. Tickets will go on sale on Friday 1 April.
