Our story
Junk Kouture began in Ireland in 2010 with a simple idea: give young people a stage, a challenge and a pile of everyday waste, and watch what they create. Today it is a global movement, with city finals across Europe, the Middle East and the United States, culminating in a World Final.
Our mission
We use creativity to build confidence, teamwork and environmental awareness. Every design is made from materials destined for landfill, and every student who takes part learns that their ideas have value.
Our impact
Tens of thousands of students, thousands of schools and hundreds of thousands of pieces of waste transformed into wearable art.
