Design Description

Majlis made from date seeds, majilis pillow covers, coffee filters, receipts, coffe capsules and a hula hoop is a design inspired by the beautiful of the Middle East and embodies the culture that comes along with rich memories shared on the majlis. The designer wanted to highlight the juxtaposition between Arab stereotypes and the culture that actually exists, and also the unique intersection between modernity and traditionality. Materials were selected to accetutate these thems and composed in a design that personifies elegance and charm.
